We understand that while entering into the dance world can be very
exciting for new students, it can also be overwhelming for parents!


This page was created to help answer
some of the initial questions that you may have.

 

OUR DANCE YEAR:

      - typically begins the day after Labor Day (in September) and ends the last week of June
       - annual revue is at the end of June at the Heymann Performing Arts Center
       - every student enrolled in a dance class performs in the revue
         (the acrobat and technique classes do not participate in the revue)


FEES INVOLVED:

ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE:
       - click the 'Registration' tab for details
MONTHLY TUITION:
       - varies depending on the classes in which the student is enrolled
       - multiple class discount is offered
       - click the 'Schedule & Tuition' tab for details
COSTUME DEPOSITS:
       - 1 deposit due September 1st if enrolled in a hip hop class only
       - 2 deposits due September 1st and October 1st if enrolled in one of the primary level classes
       - 3 or more deposits due September 1st through November 1st if enrolled in one of the intermediate or advanced
         level classes
REVUE FEE:
       - due March 1st
       - includes one (1) free Revue Program, Heymann PAC rental, technicians, props/backdrops, etc.
REVUE DVD FEE:
       - due April 1st
       - you will receive a high quality DVD of the revue
       - videoed and produced by Focus Productions
       - video on homepage of this website is an example of their work


FUNDRAISERS:

       - two (2) optional fundraisers are organized in September and October to help offset the cost of Costume Deposits,
         Revue Fee, and Revue DVD Fee listed above


COSTUMES:

We provide a worry free costume experience, which means:
          >  costume deposits include the cost of in-house alterations
          >  costumes are steamed & professionally packaged
          >  costumes & accessories are organized, labeled, and distributed during costume meetings
          >  costume sheets explaining how to wear costumes, makeup, hair, etc. are provided


REVUE PROGRAM:

      - includes a routine line-up, awards, and other revue highlights
       - includes a group photo of each class
       - you may purchase individual picture space in the program
       - or you may sell advertisement space to family members or local businesses as a fundraiser to build
         credit for free picture space
       - you can also purchase picture package hard copies
       - examples of revue programs from previous years are located in our office


OUR INSTRUCTORS:

      - provide your child with a comprehensive dance education, while maintaining positions as positive role models
       - believe that dance can be innovative, yet remain conservative through age appropriate music, choreography,
         & costumes

OUR OFFICE:

      - provides you with updates and schedules throughout the dance year via email and notifications posted in our facility
       - offers convenient and secure online account management and bill pay
       - strives to maintain efficient office procedures in order to create an environment focused purely on dance
       - will provide you with the following information during the registeration process:
          >  Seasonal Calendar, which includes every important date and holiday closure
          >  Detailed Payment Information
          >  Classroom Information, which includes proper classroom attire, photos of the correct shoes, attendance policies, etc.
